The AKC CGC program was started in 1989 and was designed to reward dogs who have good manners in the community and at home. All dogs, including mixed breeds, can get an AKC number and are able to participate in the AKC CGC program.
We offer testing for the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program, CGC, CGCA, CGCU, Trick Dog, ATT and Virtual Home Manners. There is no maximum age limit and all purebreds and mixed breeds are welcome to take any of the tests.
Here are the test items for the CGC, CGCA, and CGCU. These three tests are required to be done in person.
We offer the AKC CGC tests, Trick Dog, ATT testing and the Virtual Home Manners for $15 each.
Please contact us if you have questions about AKC testing.
PASSING THE CANINE GOOD CITIZEN TESTS DOES NOT MAKE A DOG A SERVICE DOG, THERAPY DOG OR EMOTIONAL SUPPORT DOG.
